Our accommodations suit your party of 2 to 6
guests and consist of an airy, bright two bedroom
apartment occupying the upper two stories of the
recently rebuilt, historic Gray Barn in Bass
Harbor.
The entry hallway is a convenient space for your vacation gear and houses a washer and dryer for your use. Walk upstairs to the second floor where you'll be greeted by a spacious, open floor plan: a well-appointed kitchen, a living room with beamed ceiling, sleep sofa and gas fireplace, and a dining room with lovely harbor views.
The decor includes plenty of wood and glass, antique bookcases and side tables, overstuffed sofas and chairs. One queen bedroom and a full bathroom round out this floor of the apartment. The third floor is a single enormous, high ceilinged room with plenty of flexible sleeping space and a sitting area offering magnificent sunset views.
The Gray Barn comes with eveything you need to feel at home. We have semi-private boat access 50 yards from the house so bring your own boats, or use our kayaks to explore Bass Harbor or the beautiful and serene Bass Harbor Marsh. If you'd like to leave your car behind for the day, the Island Explorer Shuttle stops right in front of the house.
